Past - Present - Future is an instrumental trio led by Bay Area guitarist and record producer Myles Boisen. Digging deep into the dialects of blues and jazz, the group speaks in rootsy abstractions that are alternately searing, swinging, and spooky. With Boisen's chiseled guitar leading the way, this agile collective adventures and improvises its way through the musical backroads of Louisiana swamps, Chicago barrooms, and urban jazz dives.

Never content to present this music as an untouchable tradition or museum piece, Boisen kicks musical iconography and vocabulary (often drawn from the early days of 78 rpm recording) into the future using improvisation, experimental recording studio techniques, and a gifted musical cast.
